3. A Mason Jar Cover

Materials:

  • T-shirt yarn
  • A mason jar, or any glass jar with a lid. The size of the lid will determine how large your cozy will be. I used a 16 oz wide mouth mason jar and made a 7 inch tall cozy. If you are using a different size jar, make sure to check out this chart for measurements!
  • A crochet hook in whatever size is recommended for your yarn (I used an F/5mm)

Instructions:

# Create a slip knot and chain 15 stitches (keep in mind that if you are using different sized jars, this number may vary).

# Slip stitch into the second chain from your hook to form what looks like an oval shape with two strands of yarn coming from one side and three strands coming from the other side (this is called starting in the middle).

4. Hanging Towel

To make this project, you will need:

  • Size H (5mm) crochet hook
  • Worsted weight yarn in the color of your choice (I used Red Heart Super Saver in Terracotta) or two different colors like I did!
  • Sewing needle and thread in coordinating color to your yarn

Step 1 – Start with a slip knot on your hook and chain 8. Then single crochet back across the row until you reach the end. Tie off, leaving about 2-3 inches long tail for sewing later.

Step 2 – Repeat Step 1 making sure not to twist stitches as you go! Make sure that each new row is offset from previous rows by one stitch so that it creates an even pattern when worked together later on down the line!

Step 3 – When done with your piece, use scissors if needed to trim any excess fluffiness away from edges so they are nice & neat looking 🙂 Now comes time for sewing which requires taking all ends together (make sure one side isn’t longer than other).

Begin by stitching along top edge where chain started off at beginning of project then continue down sides until reaching bottom edge where chains ended up being tied off earlier during first round of crocheting process; tie off securely then weave remaining loose ends back into main body fabric using needle & thread — this should take less than 15 minutes total per towel depending on whether someone else wants help too haha!

5. Eye Mask

An eye mask can be a useful item to have around. The eye masks provide comfort and warmth, and they can also block out light so that you can sleep better. You can make this in any color or pattern that you like.

If you want it to fit someone with a smaller head, just use the same size hook as you normally would for your chosen yarn but crochet fewer stitches than called for in the pattern instructions.

Amigurumi Eye MaskAdvancedYarn, Crochet Hook, Elastic BandA crocheted eye mask with an amigurumi animal attached, adding a playful touch to your relaxing time. This project requires a skillful technique and experience with amigurumi.

6. Hat

Easy, beginner-friendly project.

Materials needed:

Crochet hook – Size H/8, 5.00 mm (you can also use a size J if you have a small head)

Yarn – Worsted weight yarn in a contrasting color, about 300 yards total (you will need less for this project if you are using thicker yarn) The pattern calls for Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Aqua and White (I used Vanna’s Choice 100% acrylic yarn) and Red Heart Super Saver Solids in Aran Blue and Red (1 ball each).

The hat I made uses 1 ball of each color but I think it would be fine with less than that! If you choose to make this hat with thinner yarn then double or triple your amount of yardage.* Tapestry needle You’ll only need one because it will be used later on when we sew it together 🙂
